Finally Meeting the Person in the Photo I've Kept Since 2009
Never in a million years would I expect to finally meet the person in the photo I've kept for ten long years!
In 2008, my Grade 5 kids surprised me with a photo of Coco Martin which they hid in my drawer after I scolded them for misbehaving. It was a sweet memorable gesture that I kept the photo with me and always put it in a special place on my desk not that I was a fan (yet) but it was to remind me of my sweet Grade 5 kids. For years, everyone would tease me about it and I even told them that someday it would no longer be his photo but a photo of us together.
Then, I quit my teaching career and so was my dream.
Ten years had passed, I got invited to an event yesterday and everyone was talking about Coco Martin performing in the event. I thought of the photo on my desk but I didn't get my hopes up after learning, no selfies were allowed.
Towards the end of the program, I resigned to a defeat that I will never get a photo with him. And consoled myself that he will remain a photo on my desk.
God must have had a different plan when they called out for a group photo op with him. After our turn, I jumped at the chance and asked for a selfie, the bouncers were blocking that I didn't get a good photo but Coco Martin WAS SO NICE that he held my hand and guided my phone to a good angle.
Waaaahh... I know nakilig ko hahaha
Never thought he could be that nice! Celebrities wouldn't mind at all (from experience) and are in a rush for another photo op but Coco was an exception 🙂
So there, after a decade, I can proudly say, Coco Martin, IS NO LONGER A PHOTO IN MY DESK 🙂❤️
Thanks, Coco Martin, Shell Lubricants, and PRWorks for this memorable experience!
